Is it just ordinary shampoo?
Native shampoo is not a product I would buy again because a bottle of Native shampoo costs $9.99 when shipped from my local Target. This product sells at Target stores or on the Target website for a lot cheaper than other sites, such as Walmart, Amazon, and Walgreens. Native shampoo sells on Amazon for $29.99 or above, and at Walmart, it sells for $21 (although as of writing, it is on sale for $9.97). In addition, Native shampoo luckily doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. Furthermore, it contains very few ingredients, such as sodium cocoyl isethionate, which is derived from coconut oil and helps moisturize the hair (according to Elle MacLeman, a biochemist and head writer at The Derm Review, there are no downsides to using sodium cocoyl isethionate). In addition, this product is cruelty-free, free of parabens, silicone-free, and dye-free.
My Experience with this Product
Native shampoo would make my hair feel heavy even after I blow-dried it. Even if I didn’t blow dry it, it would be very dry and matted even if I put conditioner at the ends of my hair. I ended up changing shampoos because I felt like it was not cleaning my hair properly.
